I'd Like to Thank the Bubble Guppies

Something happened in the car.

I was driving around town with this munchkin:

And we were listening to some music. First of all, let me just say that I am SO GLAD my girl has an appreciation for music. She loves a good beat, can clap to the rhythm and asks for specific songs as if I was her personal DJ.
"Mommy? Whoa-Whoa-Whoa?"
"Mommy? Let it Go?"
"Mommy? Baaaaa song?" (For the record, the Baaa Song is "Circle of Life" from The Lion King. The first line is Baaaaaaaa-So-wen-Yaaaa!!!!)
"Mommy? Shake-a-Op?" (Shake it Off. Thank you, T-Swift.)

Anyways, we have a good jam party every time we're in the car.

And then, a lovely Kari Jobe song came on. And it began with a lovely, lovely violin solo.

"Mommy! A Bio-lin!"

"What did you say, baby girl?"

"Bio-lin! Listen!"

Um, yes. That is a violin. WHAT?!?

And then, another instrument was introduced.

"Mommy! Listen! Pee-no! Pee-no, Mommy!"

Um, yes. That is a piano.

HEY. ELLIE. QUIT GROWING UP AND BEING SO SMART.

For the record, she learned all of that from television. Bubble Guppies did an episode on orchestras.

This moment has been brought to you by Molly, Gil, Deema, Goby, Oona, Nonny, and Mr. Grouper.

  1. Well that's just the cutest thing ever! Littles never fail to surprise me with what they learn and HOW FAST they learn it! We just spent two weeks with our 3 1/2 year old nephew and 1 1/2 year old niece and the nephew is like a SPONGE. So neat. And as a former cello player, LOVE that Miss Ellie recognized the strings! :)
