Gettin' Stuff Done

I love a good, productive weekend.

It started with the purchase of a new vehicle. Yep, I got a mom mobile. (See previous post for a photo) It's pretty and a major upgrade and I am so thankful. Plus, my car calls people and I can drive and talk. AND, when people call me... my car rings and I push a button on the steering wheel to answer the phone. IT. IS. AWESOME. Cause I'm a phone talker. And now I can do it safely!

Friday night we went to a work event with Grant's former co-workers and it was fun to see all of them. One of them ordered a pizza from Star Pizza and I would like to say that THAT PIZZA CHANGED MY LIFE. Now, perhaps I felt that way because it was 9:45 and pregnant girl had not eaten dinner yet... but then again, that cheese spoke to me. IT SPOKE TO ME. Deliciousness.

Saturday I slept in, ran a few errands, and then came back to the house and locked myself in. I needed to get some work done. And I did. And I feel so accomplished.

I cleaned the house, did a few loads of laundry, the dishes, cleaned the closet, and then started working on the office/nursery. The office is going to become the nursery, but first I have to get rid of all of its office contents. I'm cleaning out drawers, sorting things into piles, and getting ready for the big transition.

At one point I had to put my feet up because they were getting swollen. But let me tell you... it felt SO GOOD to cross so many things off of my to-do list.

Saturday night we had what I like to call the $30 date night. We had a quick bite eat. We chose the Black Walnut Cafe, where both of us ate for $22.00. And let me tell you... the food was AMAZING. We both kept talking about how delicious our meal was. On the way home we stopped at Tutti Frutti which is my latest obsession. Frozen Yogurt is my kryptonite right now and Tutti Frutti is my vendor of choice. I get french vanilla yogurt, sprinkle it generously with chocolate chips, a spoonful of crushed Oreos, and then stick 2 or 3 Nilla Wafers in there. PRAISE THE LORD.

Then we came back to the house and watched TV on the couch and I fell asleep and it was loverly.

And today is Sunday. And we woke up and went to church. And Pastor Gregg is top notch, as usual. And I left feeling challenged and excited for Easter. And we had Quizno's for lunch. And Grant went and played golf while I ran errands.

And then I cooked breaded pork chops for dinner with Caesar salad and some broccoli cheese rice. And we watched "Baby Mama" and we laughed.

And now I'm blogging.

And now I'm going to bed.
